…performances were terrific ... audiences loved them … went out of their way to promote their shows …very talented, well rehearsed professionals...a breeze to work with...what more can you ask for?

Dave May, Executive Director, Poncan Theatre, Oklahoma

Everyone became huge fans of The Folk Collection. Their flexibility and grace were truly appreciated.

Kim Akeley-Charron, Cultural Events Coordinator, Loveland, Colorado

In the tradition of the great folk groups of the 60’s, The Folk Collection entertains with its unique blend of harmonies and repertoire familiar to audiences of all ages. Tony Unger, Ed Labowitz and Mike Sirota express the love of the story songs and three-part harmonies of that lasting era and current times.

The Folk Collection gets standing ovations from audiences and rave reviews from presenters. Entertaining and nostalgic performances of the highest artistic quality are filled with family friendly humor. From Blowin’ in the Wind, This Land is Your Land, City of New Orleans, to John Denver classics, all performances are energized with humorous ad libs and audience participation. Crowds of parents, grandparents and grandchildren leave smiling and humming tunes.

The Folk Collection has played to enthusiastic audiences at venues such as the World Theater Performing Arts Center at California State University Monterey Bay, the venerable Freight & Salvage Coffee House in Berkeley, Calimesa Summer Concert Series, the Fallbrook Americana Concert Series, The Levitt Pavilion in Pasadena, Old Town Music Hall of El Segundo, Culver City Summer Concert Series, The Poncan Theatre in Oklahoma, Lakewood Cultural Center in Colorado, Green Valley Center and Yavapai College in Arizona, and many others.

The Folk Collection also offers educational and outreach programs entitled An American Folk Journey - Let’s Sing Along in which songs are introduced in their historical context and sung for and with the audience. Presenters rave about The Folk Collection’s numerous other creative outreach and community engagement activities in support of audience development and fund raising efforts.

Not only did you sell the place out, we feel you were among the most entertaining acts we have provided to our audiences in some time.

Tim Day, Folk Heritage Society

…our audience gave them a standing ovation and I heard nothing but rave reviews. We look forward to presenting them again.

Susan Garner, Yavapai College Performance Hall Prescott, Arizona

…entertaining and professional in every respect. Without hesitation I would recommend them to other performing arts venues.
